SUMMARY
The “Waitemata” has a good reputation as a capable Pilot Boat with proven sea keeping ability, providing a stable platform that is fast and creates minimal wash when travelling at speed.
The “Waitemata” had her main engines top end overhauled in Sept 2008 at 5077 hrs and a full service of her Arneson surface drives in May 2011. . From reports she appears to be a reasonably sound vessel.
