This twin hull multipurpose catamaran was built as an oil skimmer and pollution control vessel, for her Original Owners the Japanese Government.  She was built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries at Kobe, Japan in January 1980. The same Company that has the contract to build Australia’s new Frigates.

Owners confirm that as of December 2025 the vessel is in survey with Cook Islands and all certificates are issued.  With manning Certificates for International and Australian EZ operations.
The vessel has just completed as of February 2026 a very detailed Shipowners Club Insurance survey, without any defects found. No infringements, advice or recommendations have been issued following this survey.

The vessel is ideally suited to servicing small islands with shallow draft and limited facilities.  She can carry up to 125 tonnes of deck cargo, with a 10 ton per sq/metre rating.  Also, she has chemically lined liquid cargo tanks 2 x 32.6 cubic metres and 2 x 10.8 cubic metres for a variety of products.
The vessel is particularly reliable and economical to operate. With a sweet spot at 9.5 knots using half engine power.

We understand that Owners have maintained her to an excellent standard and the engines have been regularly rebuilt and have low running hours.
Preliminary calculations and drawings have been made for fitting a gantry crane to the aft deck. The calculations demonstrate that the crane capacity can be 20 tons at 9.5 metres, travelling through an arc of 180 degrees.

Price guidance can be given to interested parties.
Owners will also consider long term charter to suitable counterparties.
