Hand-crafted solid laminate bottom, sandwich topsides with generous thicknesses of GRP typical of the design philosophies of Nordic shipyards of the time.

Four cockpit winches (two electric), two on the deckhouse, and one on the mast, all "Barlow Australia" in chromed bronze.

General information about the vessel: 
Sweden Yachts C 41, 1982, no. 5-05. 
The first digit (5) indicates the project identification number (the model). The second two (#05) indicate the hull's serial number. 
Italian flag. 
The vessel's general refit was carried out between 2015 and 2016 at the Porto Lotti shipyard. Continuous maintenance over the last nine years has been carried out regularly and without cost savings, as the vessel is currently used for summer cruises and weekend trips. 
 
Historical information and maintenance status of the vessel: 
- When purchased by the current owner (2015), the boat was equipped with a Volvo D2-40 engine, installed new in 2008 by the previous owner and used for 150 hours. Having been inactive for a few years, it was overhauled and serviced immediately after the boat's purchase. It currently has approximately 800 hours of operation; 
 
- Engine services are performed annually, the last in April 2024 by the authorized Volvo Penta O.M.R. workshop in Villafrate (Massa Carrara). The annual service includes a change of the engine oil, oil filter, diesel filter, SEPAR diesel pre-filter, water impeller, water impeller oil seal. The alternator belt is replaced every two years, as well as the antifreeze, and the S-drive oil is drained out of the lower drain. The air filter is  replaced every three years; 
 
- Diesel tank cleaned every three years, the last time in 2022; 
- In October 2024, the heat exchanger and exhaust riser were replaced, both by the "O.M.R." workshop in Villafrate, using original Volvo spare parts; 
- S-Drive bellows replaced in 2015 and again in April 2022, both times by "MotorVela Srl" of La Spezia; 
- Volvo 3-blade folding propeller from 2015; 
- Teak deck from 2008 by Porto Lotti Shipyard, completely re-rubbed in 2015 by Porto Lotti Shipyard; 
- Full-batten mainsail with two reefs and a 150% Dacron Genoa from 2015, "VELMAN" Massa Carrara, designed by Alberto Manfredini; 
- Mainsail lazy bag, 2015, overhauled in 2024; 
- Removable carbon bowsprit "Carboway" from 2015; 
- General mast check (mast electrical system, TV antenna, radar reflector) + Teflon mainsail raceway in 2015; 
- New stainless steel mast base, 2015; 
- Rigging check in 2015; 
- Deck hardware updated and overhauled, 2015 and later. 
- Replacement of 8 "Spinlock" halyard stoppers, February 2018; 
- Replacement of backstay and forestay + "Bamar" furler, 2015; 
- Replacement of hydraulic backstay tensioner with "Navtec", like the original, 2016; 
- All sheets, halyards, and lines completely replaced, 2015; 
- Baby stay stay in textile with original "Barlow Australia" tensioner + running shrouds replaced, 2015; 
- Complete repainting of topsides and deckhouse 2015, polishing every two years; 
- "International" preventive treatment on the bottom with epoxy resin, 2015 and again in 2022; 
- Complete overhaul of the original "Sestrel England" compass by Fuselli Bussole in Genoa, 2015; 
- Complete disassembly of the "Edson Marine" steering system with bearing replacement, overhaul of the bushings and cables, May 2017, annual maintenance (lubrication and adjustment of the cables); 
- Moosehide wheel covering; 
- Overhaul and rechroming of winches between 2016 and 2017; 
- 75 meters of high-strength "ACQUA7" chain, made by Maggi, 8 mm (weight 1.4 kg/m, breaking load 70 kg/mm2), new in May 2017; 
- "Lofrans" 1000 W windlass motor, new in 2024, annual gypsy service. 
- "Delta" anchor, 21 kg, 2015; 
- Windshield cover, turnbuckle covers, hoods and various covers, fenders, mooring lines, etc., replaced in 2015 and serviced when necessary; 2015 "Arimar" 3-seater dinghy + "Mercury 3.3" outboard motor; 
- Bronze seacocks replaced in 2015; 
- LED lights inside and out, 2015; 
- Three 120 Ah AGM deep cycle service batteries + 90 Ah AGM Start&Stop engine battery dated July 2023; 
- 12-inch "Raymarine a-series lighthouse" touch-screen chartplotter with integrated fishfinder, 2015; 
- Wireless "Raymarine Tacktick" anemometer and depth gauge, interfaced with the chartplotter (via the "micronet ray" system) from 2015; 
- AIS system mod. Raymarine 350 receiver with integrated splitter, 2018. 
- Raymarine DSC VHF, fixed model, Ray 50, 2015; 
- Cobra Marine waterproof portable VHF, 2017; 
- Raymarine ST 6000 mechanical arm autopilot with wireless shoulder control, 2009; 
- Replacement of stainless steel water tanks, new, identical to the originals, built in Porto Lotti, 2015; 
- New manual Jabsco toilet, 2015, new hoses 2019, pump July 2024; 
- Aft and bow berth mattresses, 2016; 
- 30-liter hot water boiler, 2015; 
- JVC Bluetooth radio with smartphone interface + cockpit speakers, 2015; 
- EPIRB device, 2015; 
- 3-piece, foldable, wood-clad stainless steel frame gangway, built in 2015; 
- Fire extinguishers, onboard equipment within 50 nautical miles, ocean-going life raft serviced 06/2023; 
- Manual bilge pump "Whale Pumps" 65 l/min serviced September 2024; Oven + 2-burner gas stove; 
- Chest refrigerator + chest icebox; 
- 2015 water pump; 
- Foot pumps for kitchen and bathroom sinks; 
- Electric bilge pump; 
- 2009 Webasto heating system; 
- 2009 "ZetaGi Shark" 60 Ah marine battery charger.  
 
Other instruments and miscellaneous equipment:  
"SWI-TEC" self furling buoy, stern ladder, "Mercury 3.3" outboard, foldable Fortress spare anchor, hot water, mahogany cockpit table, zip-up awning, holding tank, jennaker, drifter, mainsail, storm jib, 3 jibs, safety harnesses, jack line, sea anchor, self-inflating life jackets, outdoor shower, 220V socket, winter awning (year 2022), and general spare equipment.  
 
Other miscellaneous information:  
Survey by C.te Ragazzi naval firm in 2015. Engine speed at 2200 rpm: approximately 6 knots, hourly consumption: 3 liters/h. Sailing abeam with 15 knots apparent: approximately 8 knots SOG. The boat has excellent seaworthiness, a true bluewater craft that maintains balance in wind and sea, inspiring great safety and ensuring easy handling even with a short crew. The Sweden Yachts 41 guarantees satisfaction even at anchor, thanks to the proven elegance of its lines.
